Through the Fathers Eyes

Through the Fathers Eyes
When God looks at us, what does he see? Is he looking at what we have or what we're wearing? Does it matter to Him if we have the fanciest or the raggediest clothes? Shoes? or Jewelry? The answer is No.
1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) says, "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."
There is no point in having nice things or being beautiful if our lives and hearts don't match God's word? We have to ask ourselves, are we obeying God's commandments? Have we repented? Have we turned from our sins and asked for forgiveness?
We have to remember that looking beautiful and wearing nice clothing is lovely, but we can't be consumed with how we look or the things we have.
